I have been reading that the Windsor Hills pool has had to be closed down several times in the last few days, spoiling the fun for everyone staying in the resort.
Why?
Because of all those lovely cute little babies whose parents think it is a great idea to let then swim around with no clothes on.
If you are happily lazing in the sun by the pool and you hear the call “Code Brown”, I think you can guess what has just happened….
I had been hearing rumors of vacation rentals having all their contents stolen and it appears that it has just happened to an owner in Reunion.
The scam is very simple to perform when the booking agent has no contact with the guest making the reservation. In this particular instance it happened something like this:
Obviously, once the owners discovered their loss they checked back via the resort and the booking agent and discovered the credit card had been stolen and that they had no genuine contact information for the ‘guest’.
Guess who has to pick up the tab?
This kind of thing can and does happen to anybody so if you are taking last minute bookings make sure you know who you are dealing with.
Allegedly in this instance the guests email address was foolyou@xxxxxxx.xxx which in hindsight was a bit of a clue really.
How Reunion Resort has let these condos. end up being managed by small (ish, but growing) companies such as ours I will never know. They really do need to set up a business retention department.

Whilst out and about today I met someone who mentioned to me that news of all the recent homes we have taken on in Reunion has had people talking. Great news! Buzz!
I like to think the success we are currently enjoying is mainly due to the fact that we offer a great service at a sensible price. For too long now owners in Reunion have been treated as cash cows, being fed exaggerated stories in order to have more of their hard earned cash lifted out of their pockets. A dose of realism on both sides is long overdue.
Things really seem to be moving!
It is almost worth having to drop the boy to school everyday when you get mornings like this.
If only to prove that I am half the man my wife is I have taken on a great Terraces condo. in Reunion. The owner is a great character so it was pretty obvious we were going to hit it off.

This is the view from the new 1 bed, 1 bath condo. that is now firmly in my beautiful wife’s grasp. This is something a little different for us as we have never had such a compact and bijoux home under management.
I think it will really appeal to the multitudes of golfers who come to experience Reunion’s three great courses so it should be really busy very soon. If you are looking to rent something like this you will find it listed here.

I just popped round this morning and he looks like he had a great time. :p
The house will be available for rental very soon, he just needs to find a sofa he likes. He mentioned he is really happy to be shopping for one today, the final day of The Masters!
Such are the joys of Florida home ownership.

I just can’t get over the great condos and homes we are now managing in Reunion. (I would say Reunion Resort but apparently when HomeAway did that they got a ‘Cease and Desist’ letter so we won’t go down that street.)
These are great vacation rental homes with fantastic facilities in what is probably the best resort in the area. Definitely great places to stay for a vacation.
